Touheed Students win laurerls at ‘Urdu Pratibha Karanji’

‘Urdu Pratibha Karanji’, a taluk level inter school competetion was held at Anjuman Urdu School, Kundapur, on 17th August 2008 sponsored by Linguistic Minority Department of Karnataka. Over 10 Urdu schools of the Taluk participated, where competetions were held under 13 categories such as Drawing, Hamd, Na’at, Qira’at, Mono Acting, Debate, Pick & Speak, English Poem Recitation, Kannada Poem Recitation, Quiz, Essay Writing, National Anthem, and Qawwali.

A total of 18 students from Touheed English Medium School Ganguli, and 11 students from Touheed Public School Shiruru, participated in the event.  

‘Touheed’ bagged 10 honours in various competetions in the event, with 8 of them by Touheed English Medium School Gangulli and 2 by Touheed Public School, Shiruru. The Details are as under:

Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli:

Drawing – I place – Muhammed Azharuddin (6th std)

Debate – I place – Faika Kolkar (6th std)

Pick & Speak – I place – Suhaan (7th std)

Essay Writing – I place – Issra (7th std)

Qawwali – I place – team –  Zuha Noor, Ayesha Nida, Noor E Arsh, Ayesha Saba, Hina (all from 7th std) and Zuha Bedre (6th std)

Qira’at – II place – Noof (6th std)

English Poem – II place – Hannan (7th std)

National Anthem – II place – team – Riha and Asiya (6th std), Ayesha Nida and Ayesha Saba (7th std)

Touheed Public School, Shiruru:

National Anthem – I place – team – Fathima Sameeha, Ayesha Taqdees, Nishwa (5th std), Afra Karani (7th std)

Na’at – II place – Syed Ifaam Ul Haq (7th std)

We are proud to announce here that District Level Urdu Pratibha Karanji will be hosted by Touheed English Medium School, Gangulli, likely to be held in November 2008, inshaallah.

Independence Day Celebrations at ‘Touheed’

62nd Independence Day was celebrated at Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli. The National flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khan, president of the Ganguli Muslim Jama’th, UAE.

A guard of honour was accorded to the chief guest by the students.  Moulana Abu Muhammed, Moulana Althaf Ahmed, Moulana Nazeer Ahmed, Muthahir MH, Ismail Manegar, Mali Salmaan, our distinguished NRI guests of the day, were welcomed by the tiny tots with roses.

 

Patriotic songs were rendered by the students of the school and college sections. Speeches, highlighting the importance of the day were made by some of the staff members and students. Cultural / entertainment programmes were cancelled due to the sad incidence happened at Ulayibettu, Mangalore, where the vehicle carrying school children fell into a river and over 11 students met watery death. 

 

Addressing the gathering, the chief guest stressed upon the need of inculcating patriotism amongst the students in their early age itself to enable them to be worthy citizens of India tomorrow. He also heralded the possibilities of India emerging as a super power of the future world in the very near future.

 

Principal Shri. M.Shanker Kharvy spoke on the occasion. HM Shri. M.G.Banavalikar, trustees Inayathullah Madikal, Faizuddin Manegar, Imthiyaz Ahmed Kazi were present.

 

“Independence Day” was celebrated at Touheed Public School, Shiruru at 8.35am.  The National Flag was hoisted by Janab. Noor Muhammed, Vice-president of the Mandal Panchayath, Shiruru. The students spoke about the importance of the occasion. The entire programme was conducted in a very simple manner due to heavy rain.
