District Level Linguistic Minority (Urdu) Schools Talent Competitions – “Pratibha Karanjee” held at Touheed Public School, Shiruru – A detailed report.

A district level (Udupi district) linguistic minority schools’ talent competition – “Pratibha Karanjee” was held at Touheed Public School, Shiruru on Thursday, 8^th October 2009. This was jointly sponsored by the Department of Education, Government of Karnataka and Touheed Educational Trust (Regd), Ganguli.

 Over 70   students along with their respective teachers as escorts representing various schools from Udupi to Shiruru participated in this event.

 We are extremely happy to furnish here below the details of the grand performance by the students of our Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli and Touheed Public School, Shiruru.

 Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli:

 Number of items participated – 10.  Number of prizes won – 10 – All FIRST place.

 Individual events:

Qirath – Ms. Noof Usman Mali.

Drawing – Muhammad Azharuddin Nazeeruddin HN.

Na’th – Fuzail Fazlur-rehman Mali.

Pick N Speak – Ms. Uzzma Mushtaq Ahmed

Mono acting – Ms. Reeha Rehman Kazi.

Debate – Ms. Ayesha Imra Imthiyaz Kazi.

English recitation – Ms. Reeha Rehman Kazi.

Essay – Ms. Faika Iqbal Kolkar.

 Group events:

National Anthem – Ms. Asiya Saifuddin & party.

Qawwali – Ms. Ayesha Zuha Ayyub Bedre & party.

 The inaugural as well as the closing function was presided over by Br. Abdul Hameed Sheikhji (President, Islamic Youth Federation, Ganguli). Br. Mutahhir MH, one of our esteemed NRI well wishers, presently working for M/s. Alghandhi Auto,Dubai, was the special guest.

 Mr. Shekhar (BEO, Byndoor), Mr. Mukund Bhat (Subject Inspector, DDPI, Udupi), Mr. Nagesh Rao (co-ordinator, BEO, Kundapura) and Mr. Ganapathy (Co-ordinator, BEO, Byndoor) were also present. Mr. Nayeem-ul-Huq (co-ordinator, TPS, Shiruru) compeered the programme.

 The dignitaries gave away the cash prizes / certificates to the winners. Morning breakfast, refreshments and lunch was served for all.

The management has congratulated the students and the staff members for this splendid performance!!
