Inauguration of the ‘Annual Sports Meet’ at Touheed – A Report.

The Annual Sports Meet of the Touheed Girls’ PU College and Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli was inaugurated on Tuesday, 14th December 2010.

The function was presided over by Br. Faizuddin Manegar (Joint Secretary, Touheed Trust). Br. Abdul Hameed Arehole (President, Jamaatul Muslimeen, Ganguli) was the Chief Guest.

Mr. M. Shanker Kharvy, Principal and Mr. K. Shivananda Karant, Lecturer of Touheed Girls PU College were also on the dias.

Special invitees on this occasion included Brs. Zafruddin Arehole, Moulana Muhammed Nazeer, Ashfaq MH, Muhammed Riyaz Kazi, Hassan Sayeed Sada, Abdul Fatah MH and Murad B.  

The Chief Guest inaugurated the event by hoisting the flags and later received the Guard of Honor. Students displayed attractive march past and eye-catching physical exercises before the guests.

Ms. Noof Usman Mali recited the verses from the Holy Qur’an.

Abdul Samad administered the oath to the students taking part in various sports competitions.

Shiqran Sharfuddin welcomed. Ms. Fasawwa Fazal MH proposed vote of thanks.

Ms. Farazi Manzoor Nakhuda compeered the programme.

A talk on ‘Values of life in education’- by Prof. Sayeeda Banu – Report.

A thought-provoking and informative talk on this subject was given by Prof. Sayeeda Banu, (MA. B.Ed) Principal of the Govt. I Grade Degree College, Byndoor in a function held at the Touheed Girls’ PU College, Ganguli on Saturday, 11th December 2010 attended by all the girl students of the TGPU College.

Mr. M. Shanker Kharvy, Principal, Mr. K. Shivananda Karant, lecturer and Mr. Akhther Ahmed Khan, Administrator were on the dias.

Prof. Sayeeda Banu called upon the students to concentrate on their studies to achieve excellent results in their finals.  Education and moral values in life go hand in hand, she added. Through her brief address she asked the students to set high goals in life, aspire for higher education and emerge outstanding results in whatever profession they take up.

‘Dua’ was rendered by Ms. Rayeena of I year commerce. Shree. MS Kharvy welcomed. Ms. Sharada proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Tarannum compeered the programme.

Taluka level Urdu “Pratibha Karanjee” (Talents competition) held at Kundapura – A detailed report

A Taluka level Urdu ‘Pratibha Karanjee’ was held at the Anjuman Gosha School, Kundapura on 13th September 2010.

 Competitions under 12 categories – Qirat, Hamd, Na’th, National Anthem, Debate, English recitation, Kannada recitation, Pick N Speak, Essay, Drawing, mono acting and Qawwali were conducted for the students of the higher primary level.

 The students of our Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli participated in all the 12 categories and bagged altogether 9 awards (I place -6 & II place -3) – and the students of our Touheed Public School Shiruru bagged three prizes – (II place) – a splendid performance indeed!

 Along with the certificates, cash awards also were given away to the winners and the runners up.  These winners will be competing for the District level competitions shortly.

Ms. Naseema Hurzuk – (On wheel Chair) – President Helpers of the Handicapped, Kolhapur – visits “DINA” – School for Special Education & Rehabilitation, Shiruru (Managed by the Touheed Educational Trust, Ganguli) – A report.

 Ms. Naseema Hurzuk, President of “Helpers of the Handicapped”, Kolhapur, (Ex- Member: Expert Committee for Disabled Women, National Commission for Women, Govt. of India), visited “DINA” on Monday, 27th September 2010.

 She was received by Mr. Shaikhji Abdul Hameed, (Treasurer) Akhther Ahmed Khan (Administrator), Ms. Malati H Udyawar (HM), Ms. Farida Rizwan (Staff, TPS), the staff members and the students of the DINA- special school.

 Ms. Naseema, herself on wheel chair, has devoted her entire life to the cause of education, health care and empowerment of persons with disabilities regardless of their religion, class or creed with a special emphasis on women, children, poor and people from rural areas.

 Recipient of number of prestigious awards from dignitaries like Dr. Abdul Kalam, Dr. Man Mohan Singh, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and others for her exemplary services, she has been instrumental in founding and running service centers like “Gharonda” “Samarth Vidya Mandir”, “Vocational Training Centre”at Kolhapur, “Our Swapna Nagari Dreamland Project” and “Anand Vidyalay” at Sindhdurg, ably assisted by some of her illustrious and selfless associates, with a noble vision of transforming disabled persons into productive and self-supportive citizens leading fuller life with self respect and dignity.

 She interacted with the special students of Dina and held discussions with the staff members giving some important tips and suggestions in handling these students. The HM briefed the honorable guest about “DINA”.

 Mementos were presented to the esteemed visitor on behalf of the management of Touheed.

Visit by dignitaries to “Touheed”….a report

Mr. Manegar Muhammed Meeran, (M/s. Emco International Dubai) one of our esteemed patrons, paid his visit to Touheed Public School, Shiruru, on Saturday, 18th September 2010. With him were two of our ardent wellwishers, Alhaj. G.M.Allauddin Saheb (M/s. Minar Metal Stores, Gandhi Square, Mysore) and Mr. G.M. Ishtiaq Ahmed (M/s. Orion International Import & Exports, Mumbai) The distinguished guests were received by Br. Faizuddin Manegar, joint secretary of the ‘Touheed’ Trust. The guests expressed their appreciations on the overall performance of the Touheed institutions and assured their full support and co-operation to the Management in service to the community especially in the field of education. Br. Akhther Ahmed Khan (Administrator) on behalf of the Management, expressed his gratitude to the honorable guests for their kind visit.

Student Council Elections held at Touheed

The elections for the post of the School Pupil Leader (SPL) and Assistant School Pupil Leader (ASPL), were held recently at Touheed English Medium School, Gangulli, and Touheed Public School, Shiruru.

In both the schools, students from 5th std onwards, exercised their votes.

Umar Farooque Arihole (10th std) and Ibadullah Chouguley (9th std) were declared SPL and ASPL respectively after ballot battle at Touheed English Medium School, Gangulli.

Annual Day at ‘Touheed’ Ganguli

Annual Day of the Touheed Girls’ Pre-university College and Touheed English Medium School, Ganguli was held on Sunday 3rd January 2010 at the school grounds at 2.00pm.

The function was presided over by Ms. Jyothi (KES), HM of Netaji Govt. High School, Maravante.  Dr. Tabseera Parveen Muktesar (BDS), one of the members of the ‘Touheed Alumni’, was the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion Ms Jyothi emphasized the significance of the higher education for girls. Citing the chief guest Dr Tabseera as an example, she urged the audience to attribute greater importance in furthering the education of their daughters.

Dr Tabseera threw light on the reminiscences of her childhood days spent in Touheed. She regarded the school as the platform for her present accomplishment.  

The programme started with ‘Qiraat’ rendered by Minqad Nakhuda.

Ms. Mohini Attimony (Vice-Principal) presented the annual report of the College.  Ms. Shainy Buthello read the school report.

The dignitaries were introduced by Ms. Asma and Shabnaz.

Ms. Rida, Ruby and Shahina anchored the programme. Nazifa Tuba was the master of ceremony.

Prizes were awarded to the winners in academics, sports and general proficiency. Special awards including the ‘Afeefa Award’ and the most coveted ‘Jouhar- Touheed Hall of Fame’ were also presented to the students of last year’s batch of PUC / SSLC (2008-09) for their outstanding performance.

Ms. Madeeha (PUC) welcomed the gathering. Ms. Faika Kolkar proposed vote of thanks.

Mementos were presented to the dignitaries on behalf of the Management.

The programme ended at 5.30pm. Over 1300 (lady) audience attended the function.

Annual Day Celebrated at TPS

The fourth ‘Annual Day’ was celebrated at Touheed Public School, Shiruru on Sunday, 20th December 2009.

The function was presided over by Mrs. Kulsumbi, President of the Grama Panchayath, Shiruru. Ms. Sayeeda Banu, Principal, Govt. First Grade College, Byndoor was the Chief Guest. 

The programme started at 2.00pm with recitations of the verses from the Holy Qur’an followed with ‘Dua and Na’th rendered by the students. Ms. Affra Khadeeja welcomed the gathering. The dignitaries were introduced by Mr. Nayeem-ul-Huq (Co-ordinator) Ms. Malathi H Udyawar (HM) read out the School Report. Ms. Ashfiya Samreen and Ms. Gazala compeered the programme. 

The Chief Guest’s address was thought-provoking, educative, informative and apt to the occasion. She rightly lamented over the present deplorable educational, social and economical status of our community, laying special importance for girl education. The esteemed guests gave away the prizes to the students. 

An attractive entertainment programme later presented by the students was very much appreciated by the audience. More emphasis was laid on social cause, morality and education rather than entertainment. Ms. Samreen Banu proposed vote of thanks. The programme ended at 5.30pm.

‘Touheed’ Marathon for Environment and Peace

 

A ‘Marathon’ – heralding the importance of peace and protection of our valuable environment was organized for our students on Thursday, 24th December 2009 at 7.45am.

Mr. Gopal Naik, Sub-Inspector of Police, Ganguli Police Station flagged off the event.

Over 40 students took part in this event, especially organized to create awareness regarding peace, communal harmony and efforts to save environment, among the general public. Suitable Police Bandobast was provided by the department during the race.

The participants covered a distance of 1.5 KMs from Naikwadi Bus stop to Touheed School. Minqad Nakhuda (10th Std) bagged the coveted I prize, Ammar MH got II, Moulana Abdul Basith and Mali Abdul Wariq jointly bagged the III prize.

 On behalf of the Management mementos were presented to Mr. Gopal Naik.
